Celebrating World Soil Day: Food Quality and Your Gut Health

Your health, your family’s health, and all human health is a direct result of our soil health. Whether you eat primarily plants or animals, the health of the food we consume is influenced by the soil it is grown in or on. And the food we eat is how we are most connected to the earth regardless of whether you consider yourself an “outdoor lover” or not.

World Soil Day is held annually on December 5, to focus our collective and individual attention on the importance of healthy soil and advocating for sustainable management of soil as a life sustaining resource.
