Jamie’s approach to conscious parenting is that by taking care of mom first we are able to be better parents. Parenthood isn’t an easy task, especially in the toddler years when your child is discovering their biggest emotions. But it is in those formative years that the more calm and present you are the better you will be able to cope with handling those big emotions. By transforming your relationship with yourself, you are able to be more present, you are able to stop for a pause before a reaction. Often as adults, we can have big emotions too. Realizing that you feel anger doesn’t mean you need to always act on or express that anger. If you’ve ever had an argument or fight with your partner/spouse/loved one and had feelings remorse about the way you behaved, just know there are always lessons to be learned.
